For the reasons expressed below, we affirm the conviction of first-degree murder, but find the sentence should be reduced to life imprisonment without eligibility for parole for twenty-five years. We vacate the sentence of death. We also affirm the convictions and sentences imposed for armed kidnapping and armed burglary.
